Intimate Events: Elopements, Vow Renewals, Ceremony Only, and Smaller Weddings

Small weddings and intimate ceremonies have a place at the Atlanta History Center, too!

The enchanting Olguita’s Garden or the lawns of Swan House Gardens are perfect intimate settings for a small elopement, vow renewal, or wedding ceremony only, with cocktails and/or reception to follow offsite.  Ceremonies on the Fountain side of the Swan House are only available Friday through Sunday.  If you are looking to have food and beverage, please see our brochure for full wedding pricing.

Elopement and Vow Renewal

The Elopement and Vow Renewal packages are for up to twenty people including wedding couple, officiant, and photographer. The rental period is for up to four hours. For more than twenty people, or if additional time is needed, please see our Ceremony Only package below. Elopements and Vow Renewals may be booked up to three months in advance. Elopements and Vow Renewals include the Boxwood Porch as a weather plan.

Ceremony Only

The Ceremony Only rental period is for up to four hours, additional time is $175 per hour. They may be booked up to six months in advance. It must be on a day that we do not believe we could sell the full property. Ceremony Only availability is at our discretion. Ceremony Only includes the Draper Room in McElreath Hall as a weather backup for up to 150 guests.  The Grand Overlook ballroom will serve as a weather backup for over 151 guests.

Smaller Wedding

Enjoy the elegance of the Swan House Gardens for your ceremony with an intimate reception in the Draper Room in McElreath Hall. Both the cascading fountain and column side of the Swan House work beautifully for ceremonies of any size and the Boxwood Garden is great for ceremonies up to about 60.  For those who enjoy flowers, Olguita’s Garden, set just behind the Atlanta History Museum, is a splendid location.
