Rooted: Gardens and Cultural Landscapes of Black America is hosted by Dr. La'Neice Littleton, Director of Community Collaborations at the Atlanta History Center, in partnership with the Cherokee Garden Library at the Kenan Research Center. The keynote speaker, Dr. D L Henderson, Cherokee Garden Library Advisory Board Member and Acquisitions Committee Co-Chair, is a historian, genealogist, preservationist, and author. She will present the historical context of Black gardening traditions using photographic images in the new digital collection dating from the 1880s through the 1990s. Tea and treats will be provided.
