Fruits of Our Labor

with James Beard Award nominee Nicole A. Taylor

Public Programs
Saturday, Jun 15 2024 @ 11am - 2pm

Essential Juneteenth dishes are colorful, and their vibrancy is a slice of joy. The drinks, barbecue, vegetables, fruits, provisions, and desserts carry the patina of endurance.

Join us for an interactive tasting inspired by “Watermelon & Red Birds Cookbook: A Cookbook for Juneteenth and Black Celebration” by James Beard Award nominee Nicole A. Taylor.

This event is part of our free Juneteenth program, but requires a ticket which will include family-style bites and a beverage offering. We will accommodate vegetarian diets but cannot accommodate other allergies or restrictions for this event. Each ticket is $85.

Please note, this event offers two separate times at 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. and will take place at Boxwood Gardens at Swan House.

Juneteenth at Atlanta History Center is generously supported by the Nissan Foundation.
