Atlanta History Center and Margaret Mitchell House at Atlanta History Center Midtown will close to the public after 5pm on Friday, March 13, 2020, through the end of April 2020. All public events and programming taking place on our campuses during that time will be postponed or canceled.
The Kenan Research Center will be closed to the public; however, staff will respond to all telephone and email requests left at 404.814.4040 and at email@example.com within a 48-hour period. Requests for reprographic services should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 404.814.4067.
The Membership team is also available during this time and may be most easily reached via email at email@example.com.
As an organization committed to serving our community, Atlanta History Center is taking this action to help slow the rate of infection and mitigate the risk that COVID-19 poses to Atlanta. The institution will reassess reopening all facilities at the beginning of April if judged to be responsible based on guidelines from public health officials.
As of March 16th, the Souper Jenny and BRASH Coffee locations at Atlanta History Center remain open for business; however, they have both instituted a "to-go only" policy. They are monitoring the COVID-19 situation daily and are making well informed decisions based on CDC and health department information. For the most up-to-date information on Souper Jenny and BRASH Coffee, please follow their social media channels.
