Internships

Atlanta History Center is a leader in training and mentoring young museum professionals. Our internship program reveals the inner-workings of the museum, providing students with the opportunity to contribute to our mission.

We are now accepting applications for the Summer 2023 Internship Session! The deadline for application is April 14th at 5pm.

Please see the available positions listed below and ensure you fill out the application before submitting your resume and cover letter. The Summer 2023 Internship Session will be from May 5th to July 28th.

Internships are held during three sessions throughout the year—summer, fall, and spring—in order to best align with the majority of academic calendars.

Students pursuing their undergraduate degree, graduate students, and recent graduates (within the last twelve months) are eligible to apply for an internship.

Prospective interns are students who have demonstrated superior academic ability and have professional goals that are in alignment with the programs offered at Atlanta History Center.

COVID-19. Update.

In light of the on-going pandemic, we will be taking extra precautionary measures to ensure the safety of those fulfilling internships. Internships will primarily be on-site; opportunities for remote assignments will be determined on a case-by-case basis between the intern and supervisor.

We are dedicated to being flexible to ensure interns have the best experience possible. If you have additional questions about internships amid COVID, please feel free to reach out and we will gladly assist.
