Egg Scavenger Hunt FAQ
Instead of a large, timed scramble for eggs, our reimagined egg hunts are designed as self-guided scavenger hunts. Families move at their own pace, follow clues, and enjoy the experience together—no rushing, no competition, and no missed eggs. Plus, kids can have fun collecting eggs and then exchange them for treats at the end!
No. Both egg hunts are ongoing experiences, so families can start whenever it works best for them during between the activity hours of 10 am—3pm.
Yes! Children search for eggs along the route and can exchange them for treats at the end of the hunt. Treats are selected with age-appropriateness in mind.
We offer two egg scavenger hunts to match different interests and energy levels:
- Bunny Hop Egg Scavenger Hunt: A shorter, stroller-friendly route designed with younger children in mind (ages 0—3).
- Adventure Egg Scavenger Hunt: A longer, trail-based route with more stops and a bit more walking and exploration (ages 4—8).
Families are welcome to choose whichever experience feels like the best fit—age recommendations are just a guide.
Yes, children may participate in both scavenger hunts. However, treats can be redeemed one time per child.
Absolutely! Families may choose a hunt that works best for their group as a whole. Younger children are welcome on the Adventure Egg Scavenger Hunt with adult assistance, and older children can still enjoy the Bunny Hop Egg Scavenger Hunt.
The Adventure Egg Scavenger Hunt takes place on outdoor trails and includes uneven terrain, so it is less stroller-friendly. The Bunny Hop Egg Scavenger Hunt is the best option for strollers. We will have stroller parking available that families can use at their own discretion; please note Atlanta History Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
The Bunny Hop Egg Scavenger Hunt is shorter and designed for quick, flexible participation. The Adventure Egg Scavenger Hunt takes a bit longer due to the extended route and additional stops. Families can move at their own pace on both—if moving more quickly, the scavenger hunts each take 20 minutes; more leisurely, 30 minutes. Times vary based on how you pick to explore our campus along the way!
We recommend comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, especially for the Adventure Egg Scavenger Hunt!
No worries! Our staff is happy to help, and the experience is designed so every child can successfully complete the hunt and receive treats—no pressure required.
The egg scavenger hunts are included with admission to Spring Fest. Please check the event page for details.

You and your family will meet the Bunny sometime during that session. Please arrive at your reserved location no earlier than 10 minutes before your photo session time. Guests who arrive early may be asked to enjoy our other activities until their scheduled session. Guests who arrive late to their scheduled session will be seen by the Easter Bunny on an as-available basis.
