Behind the Scenes: Goizueta Gardens

Atlanta’s history unfolds before you on this tour of Goizueta Gardens.

Our 33-acre site contains a variety of cultivated landscapes and preserved woodland, including diverse plant collections and heritage-breed animals. Each garden tells a different story: how indigenous people used plants, antebellum farming and enslavement, the evolution from 19th to 21st century landscape design, and the changing palette of plants that gardeners and plant explorers have made popular.  This tour is led by Sarah Carter, Vice President of Goizueta Gardens and Living Collections.

Tour is only offered Monday through Thursday between 10am—5pm.

Up to 20 people per tour, entirely outside, all temperatures, clear skies.
