  • Fight For Your Rights: Atlanta Student Movement

Do YOU have what it takes to be a Freedom Fighter? In the Fight for Your Rights virtual experience, students will explore the Civil Rights era as members of the Atlanta Student Movement and the Atlanta Sit-Ins. Through a compelling story of historical performances, participants will receive an inside look at the planning, strategy, and sacrifices made by the founding group of students from the Atlanta University Center to end segregation in Atlanta. Students will also receive a special message from an original freedom fighter, Charles Black, passing the mantle to the next generation of change-makers.

  • Cyclorama and the Case of America’s Changing History

Cyclorama and the Case of America’s Changing History explores the history of the Civil War through the lens of one of Georgia’s most fascinating artifacts, The Battle of Atlanta: Cyclorama. During this experience, students will become time-traveling historical detectives who will investigate the complex history that has shaped The Battle of Atlanta: Cyclorama. By the end of the experience, our new detectives will learn how the stories we tell are powerful forces that can change and shape how we remember our history and experience our present. Cyclorama and the Case of America’s Changing History is a pre-recorded, engaging production that features several interactive activities for students to participate in and put their detective skills to work.

  • The Civil War: Mystery Throughout History

The Civil War: Mystery Throughout History allows students to join in an investigation into the cause of the American Civil War. Learn about the people and issues that produced tensions in the United States on the eve of the war, and help our researchers discover why the war was fought. Through these experiences, students will gain a fuller understanding, not only of the events of the war, but also of the people who experienced them. The Civil War: Mystery Throughout History is a pre-recorded, engaging production that is supplemented by additional on-line interactive activities that help students view the war through different perspectives.
