Distilling and Prohibition at Swan House

Join us on December 12 in the Swan House Boxwood Garden to learn about the distillation of spirits and the history of prohibition. Nestled in the foot hills of the Appalachian mountains Atlanta is no stranger to moonshine culture. Visitors will hear about the history of prohibition, distillation, and their impacts on Atlanta while watching a demonstration of a working still as it converts brewed mash into refined spirits.

Check in at the admissions desk inside the museum atrium to receive wrist bands and then walk to the Swan House Boxwood Garden.

Demonstrations will be hosted from 1:00pm to 3:00pm with 30 minute presentations starting at 1:00pm and 2:00pm.
