Join us on October 13 to celebrate the debut of Our War Too: Women in Service, our newest exhibition from the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. Atlanta History Center Members are invited to be among the first to explore this collection that pays tribute to the nearly 350,000 American women who served during World War II.
This state-of-the-art exhibition uses immersive technology, personal artifacts, and original film content to bring these women's stories to life like never before. One innovative feature is ‘I Was There’ Interactive Biographies, which allow visitors to ask verbal questions to three real WWII servicewomen on interactive displays. Using cutting-edge AI, visitors will receive authentic responses drawn from interviews containing over 1,000 answers, making each interaction uniquely personal.
The opening event will include a presentation and Q&A with Kimberly Guise, Senior Curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs at the National WWII Museum. Join us for what will be a deeply moving and engaging experience!
This exhibition is presented by The Gayle and Tom Benson Charitable Foundation. Local funding is provided by Thalia and Michael C. Carlos Foundation, The Scott Hudgens Family Foundation, and the estate of Mrs. Emily Bourne Grigsby.
