Matching. Gifts.
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs to match charitable contributions made by their employees. Gifts from retirees and spouses may also qualify for a match.
Matching gifts account for nearly $30,000 each year in significant additional support for the Atlanta History Center.

The Anne Coppedge Carr Research and Director’s Fund is a tribute to the legacy of the library’s founder and reflects her vision by ensuring a strong leadership staff and research of the highest caliber. It provides for the Cherokee Garden Library staff salaries and funds student intern research projects in the fields of gardening, landscape design, garden history, horticulture, floral design, botanical art, cultural landscapes, natural landscapes, and plant ecology.
The Louise Staton Gunn Conservation Fund honors the vital leadership role Louise Gunn has played from the early years to the present in the Cherokee Garden Library’s development and in the establishment of an active program to conserve rare books and other treasures in the collection. This fund provides for the library’s ongoing program to conserve historic items so they are accessible for research or pleasure.
Established in memory of Ashley McIntyre and her love of the natural world, the Ashley Wright McIntyre Education and Programming Fund supports occasional programs, lectures, and exhibitions presented by the library for the public as part of the Ashley Wright McIntyre Lecture Series.
The Carter Heyward Morris Acquisitions Fund was established to honor Carter Morris’s significant role in the library’s development and to recognize the heart and soul of the Cherokee Garden Library – its remarkable collection. The fund contributes to the continual growth of the collection with its focus on documenting the Southeastern region of the U.S. and root sources from North America, Europe, and beyond.
