Join the Georgia Audubon Society field trip to discover the variety of birds that thrive in Atlanta History Center’s 33-acre Goizueta Gardens.
This walk will be led by Jason Ward, host of the 2019 TV documentary series Birds of North America, produced by Topic.com.
Georgia Audubon bird walks are a great way to learn more about Georgia's resident and migrating birds. They also provide the opportunity to meet other people who share your interest in birds and the outdoors. Beginning birders are welcome! On occasion, field trips may have to be cancelled (bad weather, etc.) or important details may change.
Special considerations are in place for the safety of Audubon volunteers and participants, including wearing masks and limiting bird walks to 12 people. Details and registration are available on the Georgia Audubon Society website. Always check the GAS site the night before a scheduled field trip for updates.
This is a free event in partnership with the Georgia Audubon Society. Bring binoculars and wear comfortable walking shoes. The walk starts at the Andrews Drive entrance to Atlanta History Center. For questions about the bird walk, please contact GAS at 678-973-2437 or call Jason Ward morning of the walk at 404-759-7770.
