SUMMARY:Preserving a City Block Midtown Tour
DESCRIPTION:Reserve your spot now \n \n Tickets\n \n \n\n \n\n\n\n\nTo book a ticket for this event\, add a general admission ticket to your cart first. Then\, select this event on the next page to add on the specialized tour. \n\n\n\nAtlanta History Center Midtown occupies nearly the entire block bordered by 10th Street\, Peachtree Street\, Crescent Avenue\, and Peachtree Place. In the 1920s\, this block was part of the vibrant Atlanta shopping scene. Tour this block and the remaining historic buildings: the Crescent Apartments\, Commercial Row\, and the Margaret Mitchell House (where Margaret Mitchell wrote most of Gone with the Wind)\, to learn about their preservation stories and how the block will continue to impact the Midtown community. This tour will be led by Atlanta History Center staff. \n\n\n\nTour is limited to 15 people; we will be walking/ standing most of the tour\, so please wear comfortable shoes. Check in outside of Margaret Mitchell House 10 minute prior to tour start. \n\n\n\n\n	\n \n Parking and Transportation\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\nThere is limited free onsite parking located in the parking lot across the street from Margaret Mitchell House. These spots will fill up quickly and there are not enough spots for everyone. Public transportation is encouraged; the Midtown MARTA station is conveniently located a block away from the campus.  \n\n\n\nIf you need to drive and the free lot is full\, self-paid parking is available in the area. Some recommendations: \n\n\n\nOn-street parking via ParkMobile (usually a 4-hour limit) \n\n\n\n999 Peachtree Street building parking deck \n\n\n\n930 Juniper Street/Metropolis parking deck
