In 2016\, he was promoted to serve as the Senior Vice President of External Affairs\, and in 2021 was named President of GPB\, directing all business functions for the company. In August 2023\, the Georgia Public Telecommunications Commission voted unanimously to appoint him as Chief Executive Officer of GPB.  \n\n\n\nFor the last decade\, Huffman has been GPB’s official spokesperson and is often seen across GPB’s platforms on television\, radio and the web. To GPB’s many viewers and listeners\, he is often simply known as “the GPB guy.”   \n\n\n\nPrior to joining GPB in 2014\, Huffman held top roles in development operations for arts and education institutions including\, most recently\, The Atlanta Opera and Emory University. He has used his experience in the arts and educational worlds to create a culture of philanthropy at GPB and elevated the organization’s foremost role to being a partner in the community that serves its viewers and listeners in ways that commercial broadcasting does not.  \n\n\n\nIn 2016\, Huffman was awarded the Public Radio Association of Development Officers Development Professional of the Year award. In 2017\, under his leadership\, GPB was honored with the PBS Development Special Achievement Award. Most recently\, Huffman was honored with the 2025 Alumni Community Impact Award as part of the 2025 Kennesaw State University Alumni Awards. He was named to Atlanta Magazine’s Atlanta 500\, a list of the city’s most powerful leaders\, in 2024 and 2025. Huffman was also named to Georgia Trend Magazine’s 2025  Georgia 500 list\, which recognizes the state’s most influential leaders.  \n\n\n\n\n Reserve Your Free Ticket
