The lecture highlights the firm’s projects that showcase the message of the monograph: the ability and necessity of landscape architecture to create vibrant public spaces and infuse narratives of the land into cities. The firm’s work includes local projects like Georgia Tech’s EcoCommons which is featured in the monograph itself and the newly unveiled Piedmont Park Comprehensive Plan. \n\n\n\nAn incisive introductory essay by Woltz in The Land is Full dives deeper into the firm’s research-driven design process\, its approach to preservation\, and its covenant with land. Woltz writes\, “The land allows us to remember who we are and have been. The landscapes presented in this book are the manifestation of a moral bond with land held by a community of makers: a commitment to the preservation of its health\, its history\, and its future. Our mission is to conceive of\, design\, and build landscapes that forge a meaningful connection between people and nature.” \n\n\n\nLecture will be followed by an author’s book signing and cocktail reception. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n EcoCommons at Georgia Tech\, Photo by Nick Hubbard \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Centennial Park\, Photo by Nick Hubbard \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Bok Tower Gardens\, Photo by Nick Hubbard \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Machicomoco State Park\, Photo by Nick Hubbard \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Previous slide.\n \n \n \n Next slide.\n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n About the Speaker\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n\nThomas L.
