Georgia Perennial Plant Association: Walter Reeves, Sherlock in the Garden and Q&A session

As part of an ongoing series of Georgia Perennial Plant Association talks, here’s your chance to ask Walter Reeves those gardening questions that are vexing you.

Garden expert, writer, radio and television host, Walter Reeves grew up on a small Georgia farm in Fayette County, where his family raised chickens and cows. Reeves and his four younger siblings were all expected to tend a large garden for family sustenance. After 18 years of farm life, he swore that if delivered from tending animals and plants, he would never garden again. Yet, for a guy who longed to see the family farm recede in the rearview mirror as he headed to college, Walter admits that the unrelenting lure of gardening was stronger than he ever anticipated!

Free, reservations are not required. Event starts at 7:00 pm with sign-in, light refreshments and a chance to mingle with fellow garden enthusiasts and Georgia Perennial Plant Association members. Speakers begin at 7:30 pm. For more information, please call 240.505.0598.
