Homeschool Day: We the People

Monday, January 09, 2012   1:00 - 4:00 PM

The Atlanta History Center offers special monthly programs for homeschool students and their families. Each month explores a different subject through exhibition tours and a variety of activities for kids from toddler to teen. Admission to Homeschool Days is $7.50 for nonmembers; $5.50 for children of members; and free for adult members.  Discounted rates are available for groups with 10 or more children.  For information or to make group reservations, call 404.814.4018.

Three Kings Day (Dia de Reyes)

Sunday, January 22, 2012   1:00 - 5:00 PM

The New Year kicks off with the Hispanic holiday festival, Dia de Reyes or Three Kings Day, held in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate and the Instituto de Mexico.  Learn about this tradition through storytelling, music, live performances, complimentary food for children, and lots of fun.

Sing the Wind - Folk Songs with Steven Darsey will be presented in the Atlanta History Center’s Kennedy Theater.   Admission is free and open to all audiences (there is no charge for entering the History Center).
