Title I Schools

The Zeist Foundation has generously provided funding to allow all Title I Schools to experience Atlanta History Center school tours free of charge during the 2014-2015 school year. Due to high demand and limited availability, there is a $50 deposit due three weeks prior to your visit. This payment will only be processed if you cancel your tour.

Evening for Educators

September 11, 2014, 5:00 to 8:00 PM

During this special evening, teachers are invited to meet our education staff and learn about all of our school tours and outreach programs, as well as other resources available for educators.

Poetry Out Loud

Poetry Out Loud, which began in 2005, helps students improve public speaking skills, build self-confidence, and learn great poetry in literature.

The Big Read

The Big Read is presented by the Atlanta History Center in partnership with the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System. The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest, and is designed to revitalize the role of literature in American culture and to encourage citizens to read for pleasure and enlightenment.
