With Malice Toward None: The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Exhibition

September 4 – November 6, 2010

With Malice Toward None: The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Exhibition celebrates the 200th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth and traces his growth from prairie lawyer to preeminent statesman. More than a chronological account of the life of Abraham Lincoln, the exhibition reveals Lincoln the man, whose thoughts, words, and actions were deeply affected by personal experiences and pivotal historic events. Interactive computer stations, multimedia presentations, documents, books, broadsides and newspapers, prints and photographs, artifacts, and maps all provide a glimpse into the Lincoln presidency and addresses the monumental issues he faced including slavery and race, the dissolution of the Union and the Civil War, and his attempts to heal the nation’s wounds. The Atlanta History Center is the only venue in the South to host this traveling exhibition organized by the Library of Congress.

With Malice Toward None: The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Exhibition and its national tour are made possible through the generous support of Union Pacific Corporation.

The exhibition is presented locally by the Scott Hudgens Family Foundation, Georgia Power, and Macy’s. Additional support provided by the Atlanta Foundation, the John K. Ottley, Jr. Family, and the Lubo Fund.
