Terminus Terminus is the Kenan Research Center’s online catalog. The database contains information about books and periodicals, as well as manuscript and visual arts collections. Some of the Kenan Research Center’s manuscript and visual collections are not cataloged on Terminus. Researchers can access information about those collections by visiting the library.
Album Album is a database of digitized photographs from collections at the Kenan Research Center. The images document people, places, and events in Atlanta and the state of Georgia from 1895 to 1992.
Franklin Garrett Necrology Genealogical Resource Franklin Garrett’s Necrology is a genealogical resource for white men from the metropolitan Atlanta area, twenty-one years of age or older, who died between 1857 and 1931. Women listed in the necrology are mentioned in reference to their male counterparts.
The Kenan Research Center maintains a significant collection of architectural drawings produced by prominent Atlanta firms. The collection includes approximately 3,750 jobs dating from 1823 to 1996. Patrons may search the database by the architect or firm’s name, building name, original owner’s name or job number.
Finding aids are guides created by archivists to assist researchers find information in manuscript and visual arts collections. These collections may contain a diverse array of materials including correspondence, reports, photographs, maps, architectural drawings, and audio and video recordings. Finding aids can be accessed by visiting the library.
The Kenan Research Center’s subject guides summarize the library’s holdings in broad subject areas. Each collection described in a subject guide contains a set of common descriptive parts, including: collection title, inclusive dates, collection size, and a brief narrative.
