Literary Center

Designed to honor and preserve the legacy of Margaret Mitchell, the award-winning Literary Center at Margaret Mitchell House hosts regular programs with authors such as Alice Walker, Pat Conroy, Stuart Woods, Tom Wolfe, Jon Meacham, and Marilynne Robinson.

In addition to lectures, the Literary Center also offers annual creative writing classes for adults and youth, and community initiatives that engage younger generations in the process of writing, reading, and reciting literature, such as the Big Read and Poetry Out Loud.
