Georgia Farmlife Program
Tuesday – Friday; Grades K-8 Experience farm life in the 1860s. Demonstrations by costumed interpreters, such as blacksmithing and open-hearth cooking, engage students as they learn about slavery and Civil War era life and culture. Each Farm Life tour includes a docent-led exploration of the Tullie Smith farm house and outbuildings, skilled craft demonstrations, and hands-on activities. The cost is $7 per student. Guided tours and Georgia Farm Life require one chaperone (admitted free) per 10 students. Admission for each additional chaperone is $7. This is an outdoor tour so please dress appropriately. In case of rain, some activities will be held indoors. Please note that this tour is not completely wheelchair accessible.
