Corporate Events and Meetings

Adjacent to the Midtown MARTA station and easily accessible to midtown and downtown hotels, the downtown convention district as well as Buckhead and the Perimeter area, the Margaret Mitchell and Commercial Row are perfect Atlanta event facilities for you next corporate function.  These two venues can be used for off-site meetings, training seminars, small corporate retreats, team building events, press conferences, large presentations, awards dinners, lunches, employee appreciate celebrations and holiday parties.  This historic house and birthplace of Gone With the Wind features two lawns, covered porches, parlor rooms and an event room.  Commercial Row, a historic retail building, is a large space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and an open loft feel with exposed ceiling beams.

Evening and Weekend Rentals
Rental Fee: $1,500
With Lawns: $2,000
Rental Period: 8 hours (available after 6:00 PM)
Capacity: Main Level Parlor Rooms: 60 standing, 48 seated 
                      Third Floor Parlor Rooms: 60 standing, 48 seated
                      Third Floor Event Room: 60 standing, 48 seated
                      The entire house: 150 standing, 120 seated
Lawn Capacity:  Upper Lawn: 300 standing, 250 seated
                              Lower Lawn: 200 standing, 150 seated
Included: 62 banquet chairs, limited tables, limited free parking, security and event staff


Daytime Rentals (Monday – Friday)
   Third Floor of the House
Early Start Rental Fee:  $600, weekdays 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Rental Fee: $500, weekdays 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Capacity:  Parlor Rooms: 12 classroom, 25 lecture seating, 24 seated in each room
                  Event Room: 16 classroom, 50 lecture seating, 48 seated
Included:  62 banquet chairs, limited tables, limited free parking, security and event staff

With Lawns: $2,000
Rental Period: 8 hours (available after 6:00 PM)
Capacity: 300 standing, 228 seated, 300 lecture seating, 100 classroom
Lawn Capacity: Upper Lawn: 300 standing, 250 seated
                            Lower Lawn: 200 standing, 150 seated
Included: 194 folding chairs, limited tables, limited free parking, security and event staff


Daytime Rentals (Monday – Friday)

Early Start Rental Fee: $800, Weekdays 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Rental Fee:  $700, Weekdays 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM*
Capacity:  300 standing, 164 seated, 300 lecture seating, 100 classroom
Included: 194 folding chairs, limited tables, limited free parking, security and event staff


Tours and Gift Shop
Enjoy the whole Gone With the Wind experience and invite your guests to explore exhibitions as well as Margaret Mitchell’s Crescent Avenue apartment, which she affectionately nicknamed “The Dump.”
                
Required Staff:
                 Margaret Mitchell’s Crescent Avenue Apartment:   At least 2 docents
                 Margaret Mitchell: A Passion for Character exhibit:   At least 1 docent
                 The Making of a Film Legend: Gone With the Wind exhibit: At least 1 docent

 

Docents are $100 each and are available for up to two hours during your event.
Gift Shop staffing is complimentary when apartment is open.
