Margaret Mitchell House Lecture: Alexandra Fuller, Cocktail Hour Under the Tree of Forgetfullness

In 2002, her debut book, Don’t Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight: An African Childhood, was a New York Times Notable Book, the Book Sense Book of the Year Award for Best Adult Nonfiction, a finalist for the Guardian’s First Book Award and the winner of the Winifred Holtby Memorial Prize. Her other works include, Scribbling the Cat: Travels with an African Soldier and The Legend of Colton H Bryant. Fuller has also written extensively for magazines and newspapers, including the New Yorker, National Geographic, Vogue, and Granta.
This lecture will be held at the Margaret Mitchell House.
